"Take Back America"

PUCC Speaker Series

Parkway United Church of Christ

2841 N Ballas Road

St. Louis, MO 63131

One of our most popular Speakers Series presenter, Parkway member Cynthia Changyit Levin has participated in eleven congressional lobby meetings in Washington DC and the St Louis area since February. She'll share how the mood on the Hill is changing and give updates on some poverty programs, including foreign aid and Medicaid.

Come ready to talk with others about your concerns about American democracy and think about new ways you'll stand up for programs that support our values and protect our vulnerable neighbors. We'll also all work together to create an advocacy action plan to live out our faith by speaking up! Don't just sit back and moan and groan. Attend this must see program, in which Cindy will super charge your advocacy as a citizen of America.

Bread for the World Offering of Letters

Parkway United Church of Christ

2841 N Ballas Road

St. Louis, MO 63131

Join the PUCC Congregation in writing letters to Congress about nutrition policy. The topic of our letter will be Bread’s 2025 Nourish Our Future Campaign, focusing on poverty programs that help children from infancy to college-age.

In this campaign, we want to influence, empower, and work with Congress to pass legislation that:

  • fully funds and strengthens the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

  • expands a Child Tax Credit that prioritizes cutting child poverty and ending hunger

  • increases funding for global nutrition programs for children

  • helps reduce food insecurity on college campuses

Can't make it? Submit a letter online here at this link.
