Speaking

Cynthia knows that advocacy isn't just for experts - it's for everyone.

Raising kids strengthened her resolve to stand up for her values and build a better world even without a background in politics. As a committed volunteer, she learned from leading non-partisan advocacy organizations how to speak out to people in power to influence decisions. She’s coached activists across the country since 2007, providing both inspiration and practical tools.

Cynthia has delivered presentations and workshops for organizations including PTA, The World Bank, the UN Foundation’s Shot@Life Campaign, RESULTS, Webster University, and the St. Louis Hispanic Leaders Group. She is a 2026 Moth StorySLAM winner. She speaks on a variety of topics including empowerment of women and mothers, citizen engagement, global health, and poverty.

Testimonials

"Cynthia is a dedicated and fierce leader! I’ve seen her rally groups lobbying at conferences, expertly navigate virtual hill days and be an all out rockstar. One of my favorite moments with Cynthia was when she spoke at a CARE event with her daughter. Her seeds planted in the next generation of fearless leaders was an inspiration and incredible asset to cultivating leaders and agents for change."

Jasmine Payne

Congressman John R. Lewis Social Justice Fellow at U.S. House of Representatives

"Cindy gave two outstanding addresses to advocates in Texas recently. Her media training was the best one I've ever attended. She gave clear examples and took the audience through the process of writing media pieces step by step. In particular, her takedown of a ChatGPT-produced letter to the editor was both informative and entertaining. The audience was fully engaged and asked lots of questions.

The second session was equally fantastic, a talk on building bridges and the power of advocacy. Cindy shared her personal motivations with passion. I found it deeply moving. I'm grateful I had the opportunity to hear Cindy speak and witness her formidable facilitation and storytelling skills."

Deborah Lash

Senior Manager, Creative and Brand at RESULTS

“Cynthia has channeled her passion for children, moms, and families into her advocacy and has become a leader and inspiration. She has a human approach to everything she does—she demonstrates that creating change starts with creating relationships, whether that be with one’s family, community, or members of Congress.”

Ken Patterson

Director of Global Grassroots Advocacy at RESULTS

“Cynthia, a fellow advocate for global health and other social issues, has a gift for crafting messages that are accurate, informative and engaging. She does this whether speaking, writing or organizing. She would be first on my list if I needed a speaker or writer to appeal to an audience that needs to be convinced or inspired.”
